Terms of Service

1. The service

FounderDex helps builders discover opportunities: a map of fellowships, grants, investors, accelerators, events and startups, cards about startup founders, a pocketcard you can add to your wallet, and an assistant that answers questions from that data. FounderDex is free. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

2. Who can use FounderDex

You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your local law requires, to use FounderDex. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

3. Your account

You can use FounderDex as a guest or sign in with Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your device secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app or at founderdex.ai/delete-account. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• use information about founders or anyone else in FounderDex to spam, harass, stalk or discriminate against them,
• upload content that you do not have the right to share, that is unlawful, or that impersonates someone else,
• submit a founder card about someone else without their permission,
• get around rate limits, overload the service, or access it other than through the apps, the website, the documented API and the MCP server,
• copy the catalog or map in bulk to build a competing database,
• try to break, probe or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to FounderDex, such as your profile, photo and founder submissions. You give us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free license to host, store, display and adapt that content only as needed to run FounderDex, for example to show your pocketcard or publish an approved founder card. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for approved cards that you ask us to keep published. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for what you submit.

6. Our content and data sources

The FounderDex name, logo, apps, design and card artwork belong to us. The catalog and map combine our own work with facts and media from public sources, each credited in the privacy policy. Photos from Wikimedia Commons stay under their own licenses (for example CC BY or CC BY-SA), shown on each card. FounderDex is not affiliated with the founders, companies, investors, programs or events it shows, and their names and logos belong to their owners.

If you are shown on a card and want it removed, see Remove a founder card. We act within 72 hours. To report content that infringes your rights, contact us at [email protected].

7. Ask FounderDex and the MCP server

Answers from Ask FounderDex are generated by AI from the FounderDex data and can be incomplete or wrong. Check important facts, such as deadlines and eligibility, on the official source before you act on them. Nothing in FounderDex is legal, financial or investment advice. The MCP server is offered for personal and research use with the limits documented on the developers page.

8. Links and third party services

FounderDex links to websites, programs and events run by others, and uses services such as Google sign in, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimer

FounderDex is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep the data accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or always available, to the extent the law allows.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising from your use of FounderDex. Because FounderDex is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and you keep any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop using FounderDex at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on the website before they apply. If you keep using FounderDex after that, the new terms apply.
